About me
Thank you for taking the time to visit my website. I'm Emily Jones MCIPR, the face behind Merryn Communications. For almost two decades I have worked in corporate communications in the energy industry, delivering in house communications for a range of low carbon energy projects throughout their life cycle, including heat networks, onshore and offshore wind, solar and battery storage.
I am hardworking, passionate about people in the context of the energy transition and although I am a strategic thinker, I find it hard to resist getting stuck in to get the job done.
Why Merryn?
I've lived in Cardiff for the large majority of my career, but I spent my childhood in Cornwall. Merryn is a Cornish name that means 'of the sea', and the sea is where I feel my most happy and calm. Merryn also means 'joy' and as well as my skills, expertise and professionalism, that is what I hope to bring to work with me every day. We spend so much time at work, why not make it a joyful experience? Merryn also happens to be my daughter's name, so the company name felt like the right one.

I am based in Cardiff and open to travel within South Wales and Bristol. With that said, as a working Mum I value remote and flexible working and find most of my work can be done in this way.
